About the UpLink Initiative:
- Purpose: UpLink is focused on fostering impactful early-stage innovation.
- Founded: In 2020 by WEF in collaboration with Deloitte and Salesforce.
- Goal: The initiative aims to create ecosystems that support purpose-driven, early-stage entrepreneurs, helping them scale their businesses to meet the needs of a net-zero, nature-positive, and equitable future.
- Objectives: To accelerate the impact of early-stage innovators, enable innovation ecosystems, and shape public perception.
Ashwini
The Ministry of Defence has signed a capital acquisition contract with Bharat Electronics Limited for the Low Level Transportable Radar (LLTR) 'Ashwini' for the Indian Air Force.
About Ashwini:
- Technology: It is an active electronically scanned phased array radar, built on advanced solid-state technology.
- Development: Indigenously developed by the Electronics & Radar Development Establishment (ERDE), DRDO.
- Key Features:
- It can track a wide range of aerial targets, from high-speed fighter aircraft to slow-moving targets like Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and helicopters.
- It has an instrumented range of 200 km.
