10 New Agricultural Commodities Added to the e-NAM Platform
With the inclusion of 10 new commodities, including Chickpea Flour, Dried Tulsi Leaves, Dragon Fruit, and more, the total number of items on the e-NAM (National Agricultural Market) platform has reached 231. This expansion will also benefit Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) by enabling them to market value-added products such as Asafoetida and Roasted Chickpea Flour.
About e-NAM e-NAM is a nationwide electronic trading portal that connects existing Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs), creating a unified national market for agricultural goods.

- Platform Nature: e-NAM is not a standalone marketing platform but utilizes the physical infrastructure of existing APMCs.
Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs):
APMCs are governed by state-specific Acts, in line with the Agricultural Produce Market Regulation Act, 1963. Each state must implement three key reforms to integrate their APMCs with e-NAM:
- Unified single trading license
- Single point market fee levy
- e-auction/e-trading for price discovery
