Initiatives Launched

 The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched several initiatives to strengthen the AI ecosystem, all under the IndiaAI Mission, during its anniversary celebration.

Key Initiatives Launched:

• AIKosha: IndiaAI Datasets Platform – A secure repository for datasets, AI models, and use cases, offering AI sandbox capabilities.
• IndiaAI Compute Portal – Provides subsidized AI compute, storage, and networking services, with access to over 10,000 graphics processing units (GPUs). A GPU is a circuit that performs mathematical calculations to process graphics and videos.
• AI Competency Framework – Helps public sector officials develop AI skills and competency mapping.
• iGOT-AI for Government Officials – AI-powered personalized learning available on the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
• Other Initiatives – IndiaAI Startups Global Acceleration Program, IndiaAI Innovation Challenge, and IndiaAI FutureSkills Fellowship.

About the IndiaAI Mission:

• Launched: March 2024, with a budget of ₹10,371.92 crore.
• Aim: To foster AI innovation through public-private partnerships and advanced AI infrastructure.
• Objectives: The mission seeks to achieve its goals by democratizing access to computing resources, providing risk capital for startups, supporting socially impactful AI projects, and promoting ethical AI practices.
• Ministry: The initiative is an umbrella program under MeitY.
• Implementing Agency: The 'IndiaAI' Independent Business Division, part of the Digital India Corporation.
