The World Bank's private sector lending arm has decided to withdraw its funding for waste incineration projects in Gujarat.

Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS)
The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) is once again accepting applications with the launch of its second pilot phase.
About PMIS:
- Objective: To tap into the potential of India's youth by offering them paid internships for 12 months with leading companies across India.
- Ministry: Ministry of Corporate Affairs
- Eligibility: Individuals aged 21 to 24 who are not currently enrolled in any full-time academic program.
Benefits:
- ₹5,000 financial assistance, with an additional one-time support of ₹6,000.
- 12 months of hands-on experience with top companies in India.
- Insurance coverage under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana for all interns.
