The U.S. President has announced the establishment of a Crypto Strategic Reserve.

About CSR:

The Crypto Strategic Reserve will serve as a national stockpile of digital assets, created under a federal regulatory framework.
Cryptocurrencies included as digital assets are Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano.

Significance:

Much like the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the reserve will help diversify government holdings and act as a hedge against financial risks.

Concerns:

Issues such as cryptocurrency volatility and potential political misuse raise concerns.

National Green Hydrogen Mission

Pilot projects for hydrogen-fueled buses and trucks have been launched under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Objective:

The goal is to develop commercially viable technologies for the use of hydrogen in the transportation sector. Additional objectives include validating the technical feasibility, economic viability, and assessing the effectiveness of hydrogen refueling stations.

National Green Hydrogen Mission:

Objective: Position India as a global leader in the production, usage, and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
Target: Achieve a production capacity of 5 MMT (million metric tons) of green hydrogen annually by 2030.
Ministry: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
